I'm sorry that you consider the look of KDE for years is non-essential, but
I disagree.

Well, I'm the one who's taking the extra efforts to make the extra support.
It's only an inconvenience to you if you complain.

And as far as location, these *are* the only icons available. Not one
crystal kit icon has been created, and I have not been informed of any
efforts to make any. I'm not going to remove these icons, and make the
Kit app have no icon, and the Kit message window toolbar be full of
question marks. That's harmful with no benefit.

Well, you yourself called it non-essential. It's being left to rot.

Unless you happen to like the defaults, in which case your setting will be
removed and the new fad forced upon you, as is the case for KDE 3.1. So
no, don't talk to me about choices unless that's being fixed.

Change to KDE's long-standing look was discussed on mailing lists.

I don't, in general. I find others to do it for me. So unless someone
volunteers, Kit will never, ever have Crystal icons. So this whole
discussion is moot.

So the build system is totally dropping support for it? How very tedious
and error-prone. So yes, the message is clear that support for this style
is being dropped.

Thank you for your answer,
