if you meant \1 in the replacement string, then KRegExp3 from 
libkdenetwork is what you want (move it to kdelibs if you want, the 
problem is with KRegExp already existing; permission to re-license 
under LGPLv2.0 granted with this mail).

Actually, this is a shortcoming of Qt's QRegExp, and the only reason why
something like this wasn't included is lack of possible identifiers in
QString, IIRC from talks with Harri or so on LT2k1.
