Eaten. I logged in on the mail server when I had the problem again and the
whole mailbox was empty. That was the case already before I quit KMail.

KMail did display the mails in the list, but clicking on the messages only
produced strange behaviour. After restarting KMail the mails were no longer
showed, but that's not surprising if the mail box is physically empty...

I'm talking about the remaining messages (those that I didn't select and
those that didn't have mail filter rules). Those were eaten. The ones that
the filters operated on were moved to a local mail folder and preserved.

Since after a cvs up the problem went away for me and I could only trigger
the problem anyway when operating on a large set of mails I think it could be
a race condition somewhere.

No idea if Nadeem can reproduce reliably, as for me the bug is gone now. The
fact that you didn't actively fix it or even know about it makes me worry
though. I thought it was fixed, but this could be a sign that it's still
there and just doesn't trigger for me anymore.

Martijn
