Nonetheless, ctrl-less dragging makes it impossible to change a selection= by=20 starting a new selection from any point within the selection. I for one=20 wouldn't mind the ablity to turn dragging off, it's a virtuall useless=20 function anyway now that the clipboard problems are mostly solved.
