- removed the qApp->unlock() workaround again. Calling locked()
  from the locking thread is undefined, according to what nyz said, so
  neither this workaround really works nor can we have a workaround
  in KApplication for this totally unnatural behaviour of QApplication. 
  We have to live with the mutex warning, it seems.  </rant> :-}
