Use strftime instead of popen("date +%Z") and read zone.tab ourselves
instead of using popen() on grep | cut, QFile instead of FILE *
Did this to fix the trailing \n in the timezone names which got rendered
as squares in QComboBox and thought then maybe getting rid of those popen()
would be nice.
