Subject: Bug#31935: Identifying modem causes crash
From: bholcomb () cableone ! net
Date: 2001-09-01 7:24:46
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: kcontrol
Version: v2.0 (using KDE 2.2.0 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.2
OS/Compiler notes:
I go to Control Center/system/networking/dialup. It starts to probe for modem. I \
stop it and select /dev/ttyACM0 (I have a USB modem). It finds the modem. When it \
tries to identify it I get this error (shown below).
Note that this also happens if I use ksaferppp and setup a connection. Kppp can \
identify the modem with no problem, however.
