Subject: Bug#31933: flashing scrollbars and konq lockup when selecting window/load view profile/file manageme

Package: konqueror
Version: 2.2 (using KDE 2.2.0 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: 2.95
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: SuSE 7.0
This is achieved by creating a file in the home directory with a name like "UK\ \
Whatever".
In my case I am creating the file in \root. The file simply has a space in it. When I \
select "Window/Load View profile/filemanagment" it reorganises the konq UI and points \
it to home directory. At this point konq completely locks up (infinate loop (82%+ CPU \
usage)). Both the right and bottom scroll bars in the icon view flash like crazy.
I think the problem is related to auto-file preview, where the large icon displays \
the data in the file. It may also have something to do with the layout of the \
iconview pane, since without the "UK/ Whatever file" all the icons fit perfectly in \
the pane's area without the need for scrollbars.... I have a total of 18 icons in \
/root in the icon view pane.
The reason that I select "Window/load view profile/file management" is because I am \
actually launching konq from "File Manager (Super User Mode)"
Hope this helps guys!!!
Well done with 2.2!
