Package: noatun
Version: Version 1.2.0 (KDE2.2)(compiled sources - actual CVS)
OS: Linux 2.4.7-ac9
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)

Hi all,

I've got some wav-files which are grater than 30MB. Starting these files
with noatun is painful (more than 20 seconds for a 10 minute file). I
don't really know, but it seems, that noatun loads at first the whole
file in the RAM cache and starts afterwards playing. I don't want to
have megabytes of datas absolutely useless in the RAM. Other players
work without this "feature" on demand (no waiting for laoding the file)
without any hang during playing.

Or is there a configuration option to switch off this behaviour? I
couldn't find any.

Regards,
Andreas Hartmann
