No, it wouldn't better, only nicer. The preferred way to sign 
messages is using MIME. Unfortunatly it isn't supported currently in 
KDE but some people working hard to implement it. On the other hand 
its not very easy to integrate the claimed functionality into KNode. 
I don't want to spend much time implementing a feature which is just 
outdated and adds no functionality.
