Package: kdevelop
Version: 2.0 (using KDE 2.2.0 beta1)
Severity: normal
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.4 20010319 (Debian prerelease)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.5-ac22
OS/Compiler notes:

I built kdevelop from cvs (tag kdevelop_1.4) and did a make as my own users, and make \
install as root.

I used ./configure --prefix=/usr so that binaries get into /usr/bin rather than kde \
specific subdirectories.

The tool kimport gets copied into a directory
/usr/share/apps/kdevelop/tools.

Within kdevelop running as a normal user - selecting project/generate project file \
... menu selection. Nothing happens.

When I was investigating I noticed that the tools directory (indeed all the \
subdirectories under /usr/share/apps/kdevelop) have owner/group of root and acces \
permissions of 700. when I changed these to 755 my generate project file wizard \
worked.
