Please update to 2.1.1 or the 2.2 Beta1 which is coming real soon now.
This Version of KDE/Konqeror is fairly old. Meanwhile, the respective
kio routines have changed massively.

Anyway, you are strongly encouraged to upgrade to upgrade to profit from
improved stability and standart compliance.

For SuSE, use http://www.suse.de/de/support/download/LinuKS/index.html or
the RPM binaries on ftp://frp.kde.org.
