Sorry for the late reply, I just came to read your report today. I'll look 
into this, currently there is a problem that prevents automatic proxy 
configuration from working at all, but that wasn't the case in Alpha 1.
When I try to download the script from http://proxyconf.fth.sbs.de, I get 
"unknown host proxyconf.fth.sbs.de", if it's an internal site or has been 
moved meanwhile, could you please send me the file so I could have a look 
where it fails? (I suspect it might be some general JavaScript problem with 
the script's code). Thanks,
