Hi,

hmmm... Thats very strange. I can tell you that Kmenuedit compiled from 
sources doesn't behave like that...

It displays all entries in kicker but not in the right order but thats 
another story.

1. Be sure that we aren't tlaking about empty directories

2. Pls veryfy your kmenuedit version

3. Pls tell me if you are running under root or a normal user

4. Look at your $Home/.kde/share/appslnk directory and look whats added there 
(because you can only change whats there for all other menu changes you need 
to be root)

There in the appslnk directory you can store your .desktop files. They are 
used to build the KDE menu (kicker).
