in konqueror, if you enter:

ftp://ftp.mindspring.com/users/kruel

you get the error:

The file or directory /users/kruel does not exist.

but if you enter the same url in netscape, or even lynx, you get the directory contents.

also, if you are logged into an ftp server, and there is a directory that is all spaces, such as \
"/users/kruel/     /", then the tree expands, but not properly.  it's hard to describe in text, so i \
would suggest going to ftp://ftp.mindspring.com/users/kruel/ in konqueror and trying to expand the "     \
" (5 spaces) directory.  (once you get the first bug fixed, of course. :-)

i am able to see this problem when i login to the mindspring ftp server with my username and password.  i \
can't login at all anonymously.
