OS/Compiler notes: Fresh Red Hat 7.1 Installation

I have installed RH 7.1 fresh on a partition and KMail will not render html at all.  \
I changed the config to allow HTML instead of plain text, changed the profile to KDE2 \
enhanced features instead of classic Kmail and no luck.  This is a perfectly clean \
install of RH 7.1 on a P2-400 machine.  Evrything else works fine.  Don't have time \
to play with source myself right now.
