Every application should save its last desktop position and desktop 
number (always on top too).
With this the button "store settings" becomes obsolete.

See this case:
You want yout xawtv to start up in the upper left corner to take ca. 
1/6 of the desktop width.
Now resizing konq to use the rest of the desktop area (5/6), must be 
saved.
This must not be in the view profile, since it is a kwin thing, and is 
relevant for every application.
