Yes, you are right. It does not need to be supported. The only thing that
Kmail may perhaps want to do is to detect this format and warn the user so 
he/she wouldn't fall into the same trap I did. That would be very nice -- 
a message box saying (on file save) something like "This attachment is in 
a nonstandard format <<AppleSingle, x-something, ...>> specific to <<Mac, 
Sun, ....>>. You may have problems opening it." 

Again, thanks for all your help. I promise to test and retest and retest 
before sending the next report on a Kmail bug :-) .
