Package: kicker
Version: 2.0
Severity: normal
Installed from: patriots.net Solaris package

Top shows a kdeinit process consuming 5% or so of machine. Experimentation \
with the ktimemon app caused the kdeinit process to change its usage, so I \
assume the kdeinit process that top is reporting is actually the ktimemon \
app. I have the interval at 1 second. The default interval uses 10% of \
cpu. The kde desktop is running on a relatively quiet Sun AX/MP (very \
similar to an E-450) with 2 400 Mhz CPUs and 2GB of RAM. The X station is \
a P100 Linux Box. Since none of the X is local, I have no idea what would \
cause this to consume so many cycles. No other desktop app (except \
occasionally netscape) eats so much of the machine. Any suggestions? \
Thanx, marty
