Thanks,  I appreciate your quick response.  That solved the problem.

It has an easy-to-browse full-name listing of the packages available 
for SuSE (I agree -- SuSE names are hard to browse, but this list is 
much easier).  The only "cdda" rpm is cdda2wav.  With your suggestion, 
I tried cd paranoia:

cdparano-03alpha9-164.i386.rpm

It resolved the problem.  It wasn't obvious (to me) from the RPM error 
message that cdparanoia was the missing rpm.
