Package: kdesktop
Version: v1.9.8 (KDE 2.0 >= 20001117)
Severity: grave
Compiler: gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release)
OS: Linux 2.2.14 i686 (compiled sources)

Using the latest CVS I see the following problem.

I created a symlink to /misc/cdrom/somedir where /misc/cdrom is my cdrom.
After removing the cdrom the dir /misc/cdrom stoppes to exist.

I then tried to delete the sym-link icons on my desktop by dragging them to the thrash,
this only creates a dialog, but nothing happens..

Thus: sym-links to dead dirs can't be dragged to the thrash.
