Subject: Crash in libkdecore
From: Christian Casteyde <casteyde.christian@free.fr>

Package: kmail
Version: 1.1.99 (KDE 2.0)
Severity: critical
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
OS: Linux 2.2.17 i686 (compiled sources)

I do not know what I did, but, libkdecore has a pb now. Quite every app I'm closing
crashes in shotdown code. Reproduced with kwrite, konqueror, kmail and konsole.
I sent 2 bug reports just before now (I didn't understood what was the pb, but now it's clear).
Here are the call stacks:

In kwrite, it gives:
0x40dd63d9 in __wait4 () from /lib/libc.so.6
#0  0x40dd63d9 in __wait4 () from /lib/libc.so.6
#1  0x40e33618 in __DTOR_END__ () from /lib/libc.so.6
#2  0x404b0e70 in KCrash::defaultCrashHandler ()
   from /opt/kde/lib/libkdecore.so.3
#3  <signal handler called>
#4  0x40f07708 in _fini () from /opt/kde/lib/basicstyle.so
#5  0x804a894 in launch ()
#6  0x804b154 in handle_launcher_request ()
#7  0x804b51b in handle_requests ()
#8  0x804c57f in main ()
#9  0x40d6ea5e in __libc_start_main (main=0x804c0f0 <main>, argc=7,
    argv=0xbffff804, init=0x8049bc8 <_init>, fini=0x804c99c <_fini>,
    rtld_fini=0x4000a914 <_dl_init_next+208>, stack_end=0xbffff7fc)
    at ../sysdeps/generic/libc-start.c:92

In Konsole, it gives:
0x40dd63d9 in __wait4 () from /lib/libc.so.6
#0  0x40dd63d9 in __wait4 () from /lib/libc.so.6
#1  0x40e33618 in __DTOR_END__ () from /lib/libc.so.6
#2  0x404b0e70 in KCrash::defaultCrashHandler ()
   from /opt/kde/lib/libkdecore.so.3
#3  <signal handler called>
#4  0x40ea7708 in _fini () from /opt/kde/lib/basicstyle.so
#5  0x804a894 in launch ()
#6  0x804b154 in handle_launcher_request ()
#7  0x804b51b in handle_requests ()
#8  0x804c57f in main ()
#9  0x40d6ea5e in __libc_start_main (main=0x804c0f0 <main>, argc=7,
    argv=0xbffff804, init=0x8049bc8 <_init>, fini=0x804c99c <_fini>,
    rtld_fini=0x4000a914 <_dl_init_next+208>, stack_end=0xbffff7fc)
    at ../sysdeps/generic/libc-start.c:92

Reproduced in this KDE session, but not sure I can reproduce in another one.
I had played a while with fonts and theme just before KDE became unstable.
I'm using the marble theme, with ttf fonts (XFree86 3.3.6, but xfs 3.3.3) (arial
instead of helvetica, Courier New and Times New Roman).
