Open the file below in konqueror. For me, the font looks very broken and 
is hardly readable. If you remove the <meta> line, everything's fine. Of 
course the line isn't necessary, but some people use this enconding in 
their (non-HTML) mails, so the problem appears in KMail, too. These people 
type normal english text, which then is broken.

In KMail, I could work around the problem by manually changing encondig 
several times, that didn't seem to help in konqueror.

Also note that the HTML snippet has correct syntax.
