After discussing the interface with some friends, we already had the
idea of putting the track selection below the time/track display and
changing the volume slider's orientation.
The only person in reach for discussing your proposal so far was my
girlfriend. I hope you don't mind. The following thoughts are the first,
so they may change on further examination.
- The placement and sorting of the buttons is a good idea. This makes
the GUI look very clean and usable.
- My girlfriend asked why you didn't use the widely spread loop icon. I
think this is because one icon and two texts in one row of buttons are
bad design...
- We both didn't understand the button containing the hexagon shape in the
bottom right corner.
- What should "View" do?
- How to exit the player if its configured to not have window
decorations?
- Nice progrss bars. Should the playlist progress completely replace the
display of the number of available tracks on the CD? From the picture, I
can't tell how many tracks are on the CD.
- The time display is a little bit too detailed, I think. I would left
out the display of the current frame during play.
- The CDDB button should be replaced by another button that generally
represents database access. KSCD will support more database formats in
the future.
- Where to switch time display?
- I somehow miss the compact disc logo =8-|
- Where should I put KSCD magic?

Yes, of course! I'm looking forward to view the images and finally work
out an Idea of KSCDs new GUI.
