Package: kmail
Version: 1.1.41 (KDE Almost 2.0 Alpha)
Severity: wishlist

(Apologies if this is a duplicate, as I realized my mailing address was set improperly the first time.)

1. I would like to have more information fields in the address book, such as real name, street address, \
etc.

(Better yet would be to integrate with one of the other KDE address book apps using kparts or dcop or \
something.)

2. I would like to have auto-completion on the "To:" and "Cc:" lines.

In Outlook, if I wanted to send a message to "Don Sanders" and "David Faure", I could type:

     "do sa; fau"

This would work, presuming that "Don Sanders" was the only person in my address book whos name begins \
with "do sa" and "David Faure" was the only person in my address book who's last name begins with "fau".

Note that Outlook does not attempt to auto-complete if the name has an "@" in it.

The auto-completion starts working in the background as soon as you hit tab or return; The completed \
names will show up in the
To: field a few seconds later. These names are hyperlinks, you can click on them and bring up the address \
book entry for that name.

If a match fails, then Outlook draws the name with a red squiggle underneath.

If there are multiple matches, then Outlook draws a green squiggle, and clicking on the name brings up a \
popup menu of possible matches. Clicking on a match replaces the name in the To: field with the selected \
name.

I really like this feature, as it allows me to use the address book without having to reach for the \
mouse.
