Hi Steffen,

This is bug 829 reported to me and listed as a rpm bug.
Though I couldnt initially verify it, I now have confirmed it.

If an incorrect login is made, so that "Login Failed" shows, AND
a new login attempt is made extremely quickly (by a fast typist!)
while "Login Failed" is still showing, the RETURN key does not work, so

myusername<RETURN>
mypassword

appears in the login box as
"myusernamemypassword"

(Really fast typing!)

so the password is visible "to people looking over the user's shoulder"

This can probably be fixed by preventing acceptance/display in the Login box of any
characters typed while the "Login Failed" message is displaying..
