Thanks! That helped :)

The root of the problem is a bug that has been fixed at the Randa meeting
earlier this summer. The fix will be in 16.08. (I'm using master, that is why I
couldn't reproduce)

If you can get PCmanFM to remove the "file://" prefix of the file name, kate
should work properly.
