I just installed plasma-desktop 5.4.3 in my systems and began experiencing this
issue. I realized that if:

# Composite extension is disabled by configuration settings; and
# KDE panel has a Task Manager widget; and
# At least one window is opened in the desktop

Then plasmashell crashes when I move the mouse over an application button.

If Composite extension is enabled in Xorg, then the Task Manager widget works
as expected.

My platform is Arch Linux.

I wonder if the widget can work without the Composite extension. I usually
disable it, because it is still unstable with NVIDIA driver.
