            Bug ID: 353054
Summary: KScreen doesn't react to screen (un)plug, has to be
                    configured again and again
           Product: KScreen
           Version: 5.4.1
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: kded
          Assignee: dvratil@kde.org
          Reporter: post@ralfj.de

When I plug in a screen I already had plugged in before, KScreen does -
nothing.

This is all on a laptop.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Plug in some screen.
2. Configure it (choose resolution, mabye disable the laptop screen).
3. Unplug the screen.
4. Plug it in again.

Actual Results:
Nothing happens.

Expected Results:
KScreen should restore the setup from the previous time.

This is a very bad regression compared to KDE4. It means that I have to set up
my external screen again twice a day (when I come to office, and when I come
back home).

I had "x-on-resize" running in parallel to make sure that X actually (still)
fires of the appropriate events, and it does: The moment I plug the screen in
again, x-on-resize prints "config". So this is not the driver's fault.
