It uses LibX11.INSTANCE.XInitThreads(); with a try-catch. INSTANCE is LibX11
INSTANCE = (LibX11)Native.loadLibrary(Platform.isWindows() ? "libX11" : "X11",
LibX11.class);

Of course the call in our case is a bit different.

Where to call: init method in vlcmediawidget.cpp should work.
