No, no reason, I tried just it since it's offered.
I noticed some bug with either loading "GLX vs EGL" settings or applying them
however.

I noticed today application launcher skipping items, I went to systemsettings,
noticed that 'GLX' is selected.
Then I selected GLX->EGL->GLX to get it working again.
