Screenshot of defective effects of the zoom effect

I've noticed that the cursor does not really disappear, but it sticks to the
top left corner of the screen (at a fixed logical coordinate. Also, the
transparent background behind my panel seems not to scale correctly.

Both effects can be seen in the screenshots attached. Left is unscaled, right
is scaled, both at the top left corner of the screen.
