            Bug ID: 346675
Summary: Plasma crash on thin client (XDMCP) system
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.2.2
          Platform: Kubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Application Launcher (Kickoff)
          Assignee: kde@davidedmundson.co.uk
          Reporter: Ronny.Standtke@gmx.net
                CC: plasma-bugs@kde.org

Application: plasmashell (5.2.2)

Qt Version: 5.4.1
Operating System: Linux 3.19.0-15-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 15.04

-- Information about the crash:
At home we are using a thin client setup since many years. I just upgraded our
main computer to Ubuntu 15.04. Then my wife logged into the new Plasma desktop
from her computer (a thin client connected via XDMCP to the main computer).
Instead of a working desktop everything seems to freeze and everytime she wants
to open the K-menu we get this crash. KDEs WAF just dropped significantly...

The crash can be reproduced every time.

-- Backtrace:
Bugzilla does no accept the backtrace because it is too long. I will try to
attach it later...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Setup XDMCP on a computer running KDE Plasma 5.
2. Log in from another computer via XDMCP
3. Click on the Kickoff-Button

Actual Results:
A crash.

Expected Results:
A working Kickoff menu.
