Bug ID: 343894
Summary: Cannot disable audio notification for the "delete
permanently" action (Shift+Delete)
Product: dolphin
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: dolphin-bugs-null@kde.org
Reporter: rulatir@wp.pl
At least the "delete permanently" action ignores systemsettings /
Personalization / Notifications / Plasma Workspace. Even if I disable playing
sound on all types of dialogs and alerts, the bells are still played when I
Shift+Delete a file or folder in Dolphin and the confirmation dialog pops up.
The method to disable this audio notification is either absent or
undiscoverable.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Uncheck "Play sound" for every event in systemsettings / Personalization /
Notifications / Plasma Workspace
2. Delete a file in Dolphin
Actual Results:
GBLAGARANNNNGGG!!!!
Expected Results:
Silence.
I am running Plasma 5.2, and there are actually TWO "Plasma Workspace" entries
in systemsettings / Personalization / Notifications. The other entry only has
one setting: "Interface element removed".
Could it be that this other entry is the kdelibs 4.x entry and the actual bug
is the absence of most settings there, while Dolphin rightly ignores the kf5
settings because it is still a "4" app?
