I removed the kdebase-workspace package (i.e. Plasma 4) and installed the
plasma-next packages. Trying to launch Plasma from SDDM results in said error
message, which I found comes from the startkde script.

ksyncdbusenv did not report any errors, but I'll attach a log of startkde that
I obtained by adding "set -x" to /usr/bin/startkde and redirecting its stdout
and stderr to a file. If there's anything else that I could try to provide
additional details to you, I'll be glad to assist you.
