as bad as it might sound: this is the correct way. We don't have an EGL backend
for the raspberrypi's EGL backend. Given that I don't see a need to make it a
compile time switch - it won't work anyway (I tried it ;-) ) and it will soon
be solved when Eric's new driver is working.
