Any progress on this? I guess it would be enough to have a DBUS method for
on/off of the OpenGL Options in Desktop effects.

This would be usefull not only for calibration, but also for use in wrappers
for image editing / raw development applications to avoid gamut shrinking (e.g.
darktable camera raw gamut -> sRGB by KWin -> wide gamut monitor). Once there
are apps supporting Xcm, things would be different.
