Confirmed on Ubuntu 14.04, digiKam 3.5.0, KDE 4.13.2, running Unity.

Previously I used to copy files over from my NAS box (mounted over by NFS) to
local hd and edit them there, but now I started editing images in digiKam
directly over NFS - and this started happening. Something related to deleting
(and thus creating a .Trash-1000) in the network share instead of local file
delete?

Deleting ~/.local/share/Trash/metadata solved this temporarely.
