It's possible that the issue was fixed.

Quote from description / one of the earliest comments:
"From bug 213645: --- What I was doing when the application crashed: My machine
name is wkst05. In Dolphin I can browse to *network:/wkst05.local* and I see
the node wkst05[ipv6]. Dolphin crashes as soon as I enter that node."

Samba shares now appear under "smb://workgroup/" (Dolphin 4.11.2). Is it
possible that using "network:" protocol for samba shares was causing the bug?
