            Bug ID: 325473
Summary: KDevelop should not require you to remove & install
                    packages as root
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: 4.5.1
          Platform: unspecified
               URL: http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/KDevelop4/HowToCompil
                    e
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kdevelop-bugs-null@kde.org
          Reporter: richardg.work@gmail.com

KDevelop clearly states that you must remove existing KDevelop packages &
install new versions before attempting to use it. This is unreasonable, as most
users do not have root access.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
Please use features such as RPATH to allow users without root access to install
KDevelop and its required packages to a non-root location.

There is no workaround, hence filing a bug.
