That was with GStreamer (1.0.8, with gst-plugins-ogg 0.10.36,
gst-plugins-vorbis 0.10.36, and phonon-gstreamer 4.6.3), which I don't think
I've ever changed before. I tried changing to VLC, and then it does play all
streams in each file, but the transition between streams is glitchy, unlike
with ogg123, mplayer and the VLC application, which give me a gapless
transition (at least as far as I can hear).

I've never tried. I picked http://dir.xiph.org/listen/4753/listen.m3u at random
from the list at http://dir.xiph.org/by_format/Ogg_Vorbis, and it seems to
work, even with the GStreamer backend.
