here i attach a mockup of the dialog without mascot and close button.
The layout is realigned and sees improved harmony.

by the way.. i've read recently a blog post about new konqui-katie mascot place
in kde.. and, well, i felt that writer pushed a bit to change the rules after
the game was closed - and winned. it is maybe not the best way to deal with
community, for whatever subject. just an invitation to care even for small
things like these, concerning software, work, people..
