Hello there. This is marked NEEDSINFO WAITINGFORINFO. My alt-tab is lagging on
first use and I have some info. Using gentoo ~amd64, kde 4.10.1, linux 3.8.3.
Task switcher: compact. 

In reply to #21 "Does switching the plasma theme (try "plain") have any
impact?"

After logging in the first use of alt-tab produces about 6s lag. After that the
box pops up in less than 1s. After switching the desktop theme in system
settings (ie Air -- Tibanna) and applying the settings the next use of alt-tab
lags again for about 6s. After that it's fine.
