It's not a bug in kwin. The screen is detected as disconnected, but no update
in the screen configuration is triggered. As far as KWin is concerned, the
desktop is still 3360 x 1080 (pot. on only one screen now)
Running "xrandr -s 0" should get you the expected behavior?
I'm not even 100% sure whether it manages this, but is "Display management
change monitor" in "kcmshell4 kded" running?
