the edu site provides app pages with some general info about an app and links
for further information. pretty much like that mainsite of kde (currently).
Those pages are served through plain json files.
So it should be pretty simple for app maintainers to check them out and update
accordingly, though it might indeed be an overhead of work.
As for a more global way of informing about how to compile/update/install kde
edu apps themselves i propose a simple wiki page, maybe specialized for edu.
that way it can easily be updated. And lastly, just adding that link to the
json files.
