This stil occurs with amarok 2.5.0. I have gentoo and ubuntu installed on the
same PC. Everytime I switch from gentoo to ubuntu or vice versa, the collection
is lost and need to be fully scanned again.
With gentoo, the device id is set to -1 and this one is not present in the
devices table. With ubuntu, it then complains that device is not in the
database and deletes all tracks.
If I start form a blank database with gentoo, the deviceid is correct and
present in the devices table. But switching to gentoo also destroys the
database because it can't find the device.
Can somebody explain how to avoid such so strange behaviour ?
