Hi Janet,
and many thanks for this "deep analysis" of the problem. Anyway, it's very
strange this happening as we correctly upgraded the ui.rc version number on
every change there. So, I suspect the bug here comes from some other parts of
kde code. Another strange thing I notice is that your ui.rc file is a bit
different from mine here (aka, "the original one"):

Why is it using kpartgui instead of gui? Is this common from kubunters? Thomas,
you compiled it from source, what about yours?
