            Bug ID: 307516
          Severity: normal
           Version: 0.6.50
          Priority: NOR
                CC: bcooksley@kde.org, fabo@kde.org, jb@videolan.org,
                    martin.sandsmark@kde.org, myriam@kde.org
          Assignee: sitter@kde.org
Summary: video widget shows black frame before starting the
                    video playback
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux
          Reporter: tokoe@kde.org
          Hardware: Other
            Status: NEW
         Component: general
           Product: phonon-backend-vlc

If you show a 'first frame' image on top of a Phonon::VideoWidget (with
phonon-vlc-backend) and then try to hide the image as soon as the associated
Phonon::MediaSource emits a state change to Phonon::PlayingState (to have a
seamless transition), you'll notice that the VideoWidget shows a black frame
before starting the actual playback. So either the state change signal is
emitted too early or the video buffer is not updated in time.

Reproducible: Always
