This still happens in KDE 4.9.  Here is how I can reproduce this bug every
time:
1) Install Firefox, and install the Firetray addon
(https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/firetray/)
2) In the Firetray plugin settings, disable "Minimizing window hides to tray"
and "Closing window hides to tray".
3) Close and reopen Firefox, then minimize it.  The minimize animation zooms to
the center of the screen almost every time I try this.  If this doesn't happen,
closing Firefox and reopening it usually does the trick.

I have also observed that this bug does not happen with launch feedback taskbar
notification disabled (it's in System Settings -> Application and System
Notifications -> Launch Feedback).  Make sure to log off and back on after
changing this setting.
