I can fix this crash bug by upgrading soprano to the latest version 2.7.56.
Gwenview no longer crashes on startup. Also, when clicking a picture in
dolphin, this launches gwenview which now displays the picture properly.

However, this version of soprano should not have been a requirement for any KDE
SC prior to 4.9.x. How did this dependency creep into KDE SC 4.8.4? Due to code
added to kdelibs?
